Updated: Mar 1

The bad news According to the World Health Organisation, 60 to 85% of people in the world lead inactive lifestyles. Inactive lifestyles increase all causes of mortality, doubles the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and obesity. Many people move to Spain later in life to enjoy a wonderful lifestyle, but ill health is often a factor that sees people return home.

Inactive lifestyles also increase the risks of certain cancers, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, depression and anxiety. Here are some of the many conditions that can be better managed, delayed, reversed and even prevented simply through regular exercise.

Just doing 20 or 30 minutes of regularly repeated physical activity five days a week can help cut down the length of time that you suffer with a cold or flu.

Depression

Fibromyalgia
